Her Story

LoriVeenstra

Founder & Master Roaster

Lori was born and raised in Michigan and is a proud mother of two adult children and grandmother of three. Grounded in a deep commitment to family, friends, and genuine fellowship, she has always valued meaningful connections and the joy of meeting new people through travel.

Her journey

While raising her children, Lori built a solid career in the automotive industry, developing the discipline, reliability, and problem-solving skills that continue to define her work ethic. Her extensive travels introduced her to exceptional custom-roasted coffees from around the world, sparking a lasting passion that would eventually become her life’s next chapter.

Drawing on years of professional experience and a genuine love for the craft, Lori made the deliberate decision to leave her automotive career and launch her own coffee-roasting business. In just a few short years, she has cultivated a loyal and growing customer base through consistent quality, integrity, service and care.

Lori is known for her responsive, customer-first approach. She takes pride in answering inquiries promptly, understanding each client’s preferences, and delivering exactly what they need—every time. Dependable, approachable, and a pleasure to work with, Lori brings both expertise and heart to every bag of coffee she roasts.

Quality and Freshness

Small batch coffee bean roasting prioritizes quality and freshness by processing limited quantities of beans at a time, allowing roasters precise control over temperature, timing, and airflow for a more even roast. This approach highlights the unique origin characteristics, flavor notes, and aroma of each bean variety far better than large-scale industrial methods. The result is consistently fresher coffee with brighter acidity, richer body, and greater complexity, while also supporting ethical sourcing, traceability, and a more hands-on experience for both the roaster and the drinker.
